H7Shelter was not born in a design studio. It was born in the field — in the places where the limits of existing shelter solutions are not theoretical, but lived.
Prototype 3.1 presentation at SEED Festival, Perugia, 2024
Our team comes from the world of international development and humanitarian response. We have worked in emergency settings — disaster zones, displacement camps, post-conflict recovery areas — where shelter is not a comfort but a survival question, and where the difference between a tent and a real structure can mean the difference between dignity and despair. We have seen first-hand what tents do and what they fail to do. We have slept in them, coordinated operations from them, and watched families live in them for years at a time — in heat, cold, mud, and wind. And we asked ourselves, repeatedly: why does this have to be the solution? H7Shelter is our answer. A system designed by people who know what the last mile looks like. Who understand logistics, constraints, and human needs in extremis. And who believe that good design — smart, honest, functional design — belongs everywhere, not just in comfortable places.
